Bars stories

I particularly enjoy going to bars. Each bar has a different identity, a specific universe in terms of flavors, energy, musicality, and atmosphere. I find ambiances and aesthetics there that appeal to me: elegant, chic, and dark, or original, dirty, and fun. Sometimes, all of these at once.

Bars are the first places one enters the nightlife world, where many stories and experiences are born. Photographing these places allows us to learn more about the sociology of the place visited by highlighting its frequentation by locals or transients, people of varying wealth or privilege, the age group, the style of dress, and the political opinions conveyed by these ambiances or by the decor itself. These are all stories that I try to capture and tell you here.
